These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of School2Calendar (the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
Service description
The Service receives emails you send/forward to your personal School2Calendar forwarding address and attempts to extract one or more calendar events. The Service then creates or updates events in your connected calendar (such as Google Calendar via OAuth or iCloud via CalDAV).
Your responsibilities
- You are responsible for ensuring you have the rights to forward emails and content to the Service.
- You are responsible for keeping access to your email account and calendar accounts secure.
- You must not use the Service for unlawful, harmful, or abusive activities.
Calendar writes and accuracy
The Service is automated and may make mistakes. Extracted events can be incomplete, incorrect, or duplicated. You are responsible for reviewing your calendar and correcting or deleting events as needed.
Idempotency and deduplication
We attempt to prevent duplicates by using deduplication and idempotent write strategies. However, we do not guarantee that duplicates will never occur, especially when multiple similar emails describe the same event.
Third-party services
The Service depends on third-party providers (e.g., Google, Apple/iCloud, email infrastructure, LLM providers). Your use of those services is subject to their terms and policies.
Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect and use information.
Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. You may also disconnect your calendar integration to stop future writes. We may suspend or terminate access to the Service if you violate these Terms or if required to protect the Service.
Disclaimers
- The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind.
- We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that extracted events will be accurate.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, School2Calendar will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service.
Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date.
