School2Calendar
Email-to-calendar, context-aware
Built for busy parents

Turn school emails into a calendar that remembers.

If you’re getting 10–15 emails a week from two schools for two kids, you’re not “disorganized.” You’re overloaded.

School2Calendar pulls dates, times, locations, and “bring this” details out of school emails and puts them on your calendar. Forward the email. Your calendar keeps the promise.

Works with Google Calendar + iCloud (CalDAV)
Forward in one tap (personal address)
Doesn’t read your inbox (only what you forward)
Captures the details you forget at 7:42am
Inbound email Your calendar Context
A familiar moment

It’s 9:41pm. You finally open the email.

And there it is — the one line that mattered. Tomorrow.

The email
You forwarded it.
What lands on your calendar
Spirit Day — wear blue
Tomorrow • All day
Notes: From school newsletter
Minimum Day Pickup
Friday • 12:40pm
Del Mar Elementary
Now you see it when it matters.
The problem

School emails aren’t hard. They’re just endless.

You’re juggling work, dinner, and bedtime—while two schools send fifteen emails a week. The information you need is always there. It’s just never where your eyes land.

What we capture
The things you actually get burned by.
Spirit Day
Gift days
Minimum days / early dismissal
No school
Field trips
Class parties
Picture day
Book fair
PTA meetings
Games & practices
Volunteer shifts
Deadlines & forms

The details are buried

“Spirit Day is Friday” sits between fundraising links, policy reminders, and five paragraphs you’ve read before.

It costs time you don’t have

You can keep up—if you’re willing to spend an hour or two each week turning emails into your own reminders.

And the penalty feels personal

The worst part isn’t the calendar. It’s your kid looking at you like you forgot on purpose.

What you actually want

A calendar that quietly fills itself with the stuff that matters: spirit days, minimum days, field trips, classroom activities, gift days, games, practices.

What School2Calendar does

  1. You forward the email.
  2. We extract the event details (using your saved context).
  3. We write it to your calendar.
  4. You glance at your calendar and move on with your day.
How it works

One forward address. One habit.

No new app to check. No inbox rules you have to babysit. Just a personal address on school2calendar.com.

1) Connect your calendar

Google Calendar via OAuth, or iCloud Calendar via CalDAV. Pick where your school events should go.

2) Forward the email

Send it to inbound+<yourToken>@school2calendar.com. Forward manually or set up an auto-forwarding rule.

3) It shows up on your calendar

We extract event candidates and write them to your calendar. When we’re unsure, we’ll err on the side of caution.

Alternatives

You can solve this four ways.

Three of them quietly take something from you: time, money, or peace of mind.

Do it yourself

Read every email. Scan for dates. Translate “minimum day” into a real reminder. Repeat next week.

Copy/paste into ChatGPT

It can help, but it’s still manual work: copy, paste, interpret, then create the event yourself.

Hire someone

Effective—if you want to pay for an inbox assistant and trust them with the details.

Miss it

The cheapest option… until it isn’t. The costume you didn’t have. The form you didn’t sign. The day you didn’t know about.

The fifth way

Forward the email once and let School2Calendar keep the calendar honest. Not perfect magic. Just a better default.

Trust

Designed like a service, not a science project.

Reliability and privacy aren’t “nice to have” when the output is your family schedule.

Durable ingestion

Emails are stored before processing begins, so retries and reprocessing are possible.

Idempotent writes

Dedupe and idempotency reduce duplicate events when the same email gets forwarded twice.

Safety defaults

Attendee invites are optional and default off. When confidence is low, we can mark events as tentative.

Privacy by design

Tokens are protected, and the system is built to isolate each user’s data. Read the details in our Privacy Policy.

FAQ

Quick answers

The stuff you’ll ask before you trust it with Thursday.

Does School2Calendar read my inbox?
No. The Service processes emails you send or forward to your personal School2Calendar address.
Will it accidentally invite the whole class?
By default, attendee invites are off. We prioritize safe behavior over “power features.”
What if the email is vague or missing a time?
We use your saved context (like timezone and sender hints) to improve extraction. When we’re not confident, we can label an event as tentative and keep provenance back to the source email.
What calendars does it support?
Google Calendar (OAuth) and iCloud Calendar (CalDAV).
